Survey boat with ROV / AUV capability
Our largest 20m catamaran ‘CRC Sentinel‘ is perfectly adapted for the deployment and recovery of ROVs and AUVs of up to 2.8 tonnes. CRC Sentinel is coded for use up to 60nm from a safe haven day or night, has plenty of deck space and features a HIAB crane on the starboard quarter. The vessel, new in 2021, is also equipped with four point anchoring, joystick control and Rolls Royce waterjets for accurate close quarter manoeuvring.

Deck facilities for ROV / AUV / ASV operations
CRC has assisted on a number of projects involving autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) for clients in both the military and civil sectors. Our catamarans and cabin Ribs have large working platforms to rig equipment, survey poles, towed arrays and to facilitate close support to the AUVs.
Crew facilities for ROV / AUV operations
Our vessels have crew bunks, electric flush heads and thermostatic shower. Crew facilities include a full galley with fridge, water boiler and microwave.
Guard cover
We have highly experienced patrol boat skippers who are familiar with working alongside AUVs and ASVs. CRC patrol boat and guard boats are expert at courteously and effectively guiding other water users to prevent them inadvertently interfering with trials.
Survey catamarans
Our catamarans are ideal for surveying and offer a stern platform for the launch, recovery and stowage of ROVs. All are water jet driven providing zero risk of entanglement and all have bespoke side-mounted survey poles ready to be fitted with multibeam echo sounders.
