Jack-Up Barge Crew Transfers

Commercial Rib Charter own and operate purpose built vessels for transferring crew to Jack-Up Barges. We operate lightweight vessels with modular push on bows adaptable for different ladders. Our vessels transfer up to 12 passengers, often in shallow waters. We even operate a fleet of amphibious vessels for Jack-Up Barges operating in drying areas.

Crew comfort

Our Jack-Up Barge transfer vessels are fitted with shock absorbing seats. The cabins are well ventilated and heated. Galleys have microwave, water boiler and fridge. The heads are fitted with electric flush loo and thermostatic shower. There is ample storage for kit bags and drying zones for damp clothing. All vessels have Wi-fi and CCTV both inside the cabin and on the transfer platform.

Crew safety

Our Jack-Up Barge transfer Ribs are coded by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to Category 2 allowing them to operate up to 60nm from a safe haven, day or night. All of the safety equipment required by code is serviced to schedule. Our fleet carries full commercial insurance. All of our cabin Ribs and catamarans have access and exit doors at both ends of the cabin. CRC provide SOLAS approved 275nm lifejackets, fitted with PLBs.

Safety Cover for Jack-Up Barges

CRC offer around the clock safety cover for Jack-Up Barges. Our vessels are equipped with safety and rescue equipment including stretchers, davits and defibrillators. Our amphibious vessels also provide safety cover for Jack-Up Barges working in intertidal areas.
