Offshore Ribs with offshore sea-keeping

Ribs have a good inherent offshore capability because of their deep ‘V’ hull profile. The flex within the tubes also absorbs energy in a big sea, increasing comfort for passengers; this capability is referred to as a ‘variable geometry hull’. Ribs working from ships may be deployed and recovered during inclement weather without damaging either Rib or mother ship.

Ribcraft – standing the test of time

Commercial Rib Charter have been buying Ribcraft boats for well over 20 years. Valuable experience has taught us that only boats properly designed and robustly built by a good firm stand the test of time. Our boats and the equipment on board, are the best on the market.

CRC Cabin Ribs

Commercial Rib Charter’s largest cabin Ribs, the 15m ‘CRC Galaxy‘, ‘CRC Ventura‘ and ‘CRC Voyager‘ have been designed for offshore use. They are all MCA Cat 2 coded (up to 60nm day and night) for 12 passengers and 2 crew and have a cruising speed of 26kts. CRC Galaxy is fitted with SOLAS approved Henriksen hooks, which combined with a deck cradle allows safe launching from ships. All three vessels have a full suite of man overboard recovery equipment including recovery davits.
