Crew transfer capability

CRC specialise in offering efficient, cost effective and high quality crew transfer vessels. We operate a large fleet of crew transfer Ribs and catamarans. Our transfer fleet vessels range from 9 meters to 20 meters; all have been designed with safety, comfort and low running costs in mind. CRC have operated on wind farms throughout the UK and Europe including London Array, Galloper, Rampion, Burbo Bank and Humber. We have operated crew transfer vessels for RWE on Scroby Sands wind farm for several years.

Shallow draft specialists

CRC specialise in shallow draft crew transfer vessels and operations. We operate vessels capable of accessing shallow depths which are not navigable by conventional vessels. CRC have several crew transfer vessels with shallow draft and jet propulsion able to operate in under 1 metre of water. Uniquely, CRC also operate the world’s only amphibious crew transfer vessel.

Economy

Our crew transfer vessels are different from the norm. We have focused on vessel design, size and power to provide the perfect balance of size, comfort and sea keeping ability, to optimum power and efficiency; our clients enjoy low fuel bills and consequently lower emissions.

Crew comfort

Our crew transfer vessels are fitted with the latest German engineered ‘Grammer Avento’ shock absorbing passenger seats, supplied by Capital Seating. The cabins are well ventilated and fully heated and there is a full size galley with microwave, water boiler, oven and fridge. The heads are fitted with electric flush loo and thermostatic shower. The boats also have full audio and PA systems. There is ample storage for kit bags and wet zones for hanging and drying damp clothing. Vessels can also offer WIFI if required.

Crew safety

Our crew transfer vessels are coded by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to Category 2 allowing them to operate up to 60nm from a safe haven, day and night. All of the safety equipment required by code is carried on board and serviced to schedule, including MOB recovery davits and winches. Our fleet carries full commercial insurance. All of our cabin Ribs and catamarans have access and exit doors at both ends of the cabin. CRC provide SOLAS approved 275nm lifejackets for passengers, fitted with PLBs. Our crew transfer vessels operate CCTV.
