Boatyard, workshop and offices

Commercial Rib Charter own a boatyard on the south coast with adjacent offices and workshops. We have 19 permanent berths in our nearest marina and a number of other berths on the UK coast. Our workshop is equipped with gantry cranes for engine changes. In addition to engine and generator maintenance, work on site includes shot blasting, painting and GRP fabrication. Aluminium welding is subcontracted to trusted suppliers.

Spare engines and machinery

CRC own spare engines, gearboxes, jet drives and generators for every vessel on fleet. The capital outlay and storage costs are significant but this gives us an extraordinary resilience which amazes our clients. Recently we carried our a full engine change of a Volvo D6-440 on a 15m boat operating in Ijmuiden, Holland, within 24 hours of an engine failure. CRC are an accredited Suzuki dealer.

'Expeditionary' capability

We have containerised workshops that are deployed in support of long term or complex contracts where local facilities are not available. We also own bunded road legal fuel bowsers. With over two thousand square metres of modular pontoons in stock, we are able to build temporary vessel operating facilities where none exist.

Mobilising abroad

We are within easy reach of the northern European coastline and thus most cross chanel deliveries are made by sea. Uniquely a large proportion of our fleet including several 15m vessels are deliverable by road transport. Our trusted network of specialist boat hauliers are able to deliver boats anywhere in Europe, often with 24 hours of booking.
