Official supplier to London 2012 Olympic Games

CRC has significant experience in providing media boats suitable for sailing events. We were selected as the official supplier of media boats to the 2012 London Olympic Games and provided 24 Ribs with drivers for the Olympic sailing venue in Weymouth. CRC regularly provide media boats to The America’s Cup, Cowes Week Ltd, The J Class Association, Clipper Ventures, JP Morgan Round the Island Race, Vendee Globe, Route de Rhum and the Extreme 40 circuit amongst others.

Boats suitable for marine photography

We operate fast and agile Ribs which are uncharacteristically dry and (because they are built to a commercial offshore standard), surprisingly stable. Our smaller cabin Ribs have no ‘A’ frame giving uninterrupted sight lines as well as shelter for storing equipment and changing lenses etc. Most photographers welcome the jockey seats on our open Ribs for the hands-free bracing that they provide but seats may be removed if required.

Specialist skills for marine photography

CRC have built up considerable expertise in working around fast sailing craft whether single or multi hull. We understand sailing and know when to be out of the way but equally we can place you a metre in front of a Volvo race boat doing 30 knots when required. Acclaimed international marine photographer Mark Lloyd states:

“I have used CRC exclusively for over 10 years; I just wouldn’t contemplate going to anybody else. They have the best boats and the best drivers.”
