Commercial Rib Charter is the UK’s market leading supplier of commercial charter Ribs to the Police, Military and UK Defence industry. CRC won the contract to supply 42 Ribs to Dorset Police for the 2012 Olympic Games as well as 24 Ribs for the 2013 G8 summit in Northern Ireland. CRC works with a number of NATO navies to provide Ribs with experienced skippers for simulated swarm attacks on warships both individually and as part of international naval exercises.

The right boats for the job
As well as having boats with full commercial coding, several of our open and cabin Ribs are coded to the Police Boat Code and are equipped with blue lights, sirens, loud hailers and search lights. We are also able to fit our boats with specialist communications and command and control systems as used by Dorset Police during the Olympic Games.
Bareboat or skippered
Most Police services charter our boats bareboat for use by their own crews. When a large number of boats are required for military and naval exercises, we usually provide skippers who have now developed particular expertise in the safe execution of large scale simulated swarm attacks – all of whom hold full MOD security clearance.
Short term or long term
We are able to supply military and police boats for either short term or long term hire. Short term requirements usually centre on a significant event such as a fleet review or a specific policing operation. Long term charter is available both on a contract hire basis or to cover planned maintenance of regular Police boats. We generally provide maintenance and repair services as part of a contract. Contracts usually stipulate 24 hour availability.
