Shallow draft specialists

Commercial Rib Charter specialise in shallow draft crew transfer Ribs and Catamarans. Several CRC vessels are capable of transferring up to 12 Pax whilst operating in as little as 0.6m of water, making CRC vessels the perfect fit for near-shore operations. With modular push-on bow sections, CRC’s crew transfer vessels can be adapted to work with a wide range of crew landing stages, from turbines to jack-up barges.

Rapid mobilisation

Most CRC Vessels have been designed and built to our unique specifications. Aside from the shallow draft aspect and modular bows, Commercial Rib Charter are designed to be easily road transportable without the need for a ‘Wide Load’ road escort. This gives CRC the unique ability to mobilise to any UK or European port within 24hrs.

Crew comfort

Our shallow draft crew transfer vessels are fitted with the latest shock absorbing passenger seats. The cabins are well ventilated and fully heated and there is a full size galley with microwave, water boiler and fridge. The heads are fitted with electric flush loos and thermostatic shower. There is ample storage for kit bags and wet zones for hanging and drying damp clothing. The vessels have full audio, PA and CCTV systems; they may also be specified with WIFI.

Crew safety

Our crew transfer Ribs are coded by the Maritime Coastguard Agency to Category 2 allowing them to operate up to 60nm from a safe haven, day or night. All of the safety equipment required by code is carried on board and serviced to schedule. Our fleet carries full commercial insurance. All of our cabin Ribs and catamarans have access and exit doors at both ends of the cabin. CRC provide SOLAS approved 275nm lifejackets, fitted with PLBs.
