Floating Pontoons as camera and equipment platforms

We supply pontoons for any number of film set needs. For example we supplied pontoons as a camera platform to take actors, crew and associated equipment on the River Thames (credit: Miss Marple). On the same production we created an additional pontoon barge to transport actors, crew and props back and forth across the Thames between two locations on opposite banks.

Floating pontoons for films sets

CRC own over two thousand square meters of floating pontoon system. This modular system can be configured into virtually any shape needed and has excellent buoyancy. Pontoons can be cloaked in green screen or where it is actually built into the set, covered in grass, decking or props as required by the set designers and art departments.

Waterside access

Pontoons may also be used to create moorings and jetties in locations such as rivers and lakes where filming needs to take place but the necessary facilities don’t exist. The system is safe for use in fast flowing rivers and at coastal locations. Handrails, mooring cleats and fenders are installed as required. Our pontoons are light to transport and both quick and easy to install; the system is likely to be the lowest cost as well as the best method of making a dry and safe surface on any body of water.
