CRC Vanguard

CRC Vanguard is a 12.5m cabin Rib, built by Ribcraft in 2019 and is the largest Rib we have in the fleet running outboard engines. Coded to MCA Category 2 and permitted to carry up to 12 passengers, Vanguard is the next step up from our 9.5m cabin Ribs and ideal for inshore and shallow draft crew transfers. Vanguard has a generous push-on bow nearly 2 meters in width which is moulded into the hull, she has operated as a CTV for jack-up barges, multicats and wind turbines.

Vanguard features twin Suzuki 325 horsepower petrol outboards. When operating at idle or low speeds, the engines are nearly silent – they are also fuel efficient – even up to her cruising speed of 25 knots. At sprint speed, Vanguard will hit nearly 40 knots, making it one of the fastest cabin Ribs in the fleet; she is an ideal safety boat.

With suspension seating for 12 passengers, generous under-seat storage, a large foredeck with cargo tie-down points and space to operate equipment, Vanguard is ideal for a wide array of work boat duties such as surveying and filming. The vessel is equipped with MOB recovery equipment including davit and full body stretcher, as well as associated medical and fire fighting equipment.
