CRC Vulcan

CRC Vulcan is one of our most versatile vessels and combines the shallow-draft benefits found in our 15m Cabin Ribs with the comfort, space and seakeeping ability of our large 20m catamaran, CRC Sentinel. Vulcan has a shallow draft of just 90cm and has proven to be a capable multi-role catamaran, ideal for crew transfers, surveying and dive support.

With a large freeboard, wide push-on bow and raised bridge and saloon, Vulcan is a tough seakeeping vessel, capable of transferring passengers safely in 1.75m Hs and coded to work up to 60nm offshore. With suspension seating and a combined horsepower of 1300hp, Vulcan can work safely and comfortably in testing conditions, giving an average cruising speed of over 20 knots.

With its large deck space and spacious saloon, Vulcan has recently been extensively reconfigured to allow use as a dive support vessel. Charterers are welcome to use their own dive spread or hire our new IMCA compliant DO40 2 diver scuba replacement pack featuring 4x 300 bar cylinders, AxSub video / communication system and 100m umbilicals. Vulcan’s internal seating can be removed or re-arranged to create a dive supervisor workstation and the jet platform on the aft deck has been neatly modified to provide a dive ladder, recovery davit and storage to hang umbilicals.
