Small work boats suitable for inland waterways
CRC own a range of small and robust inland work boats suitable for smaller rivers and canals. Work boats are available with or without crew on short or long term contracts and can be mobilised 24 hours a day. For larger or faster rivers, our fully coded and shallow draft open Ribs ‘CRC Dart‘ (5m) and ‘CRC Sabre‘ (6.8m) are more than suitable.
Our partners
Boats that are easy to launch
We are able to launch inshore works boats even in locations that have no slipway. This will significantly reduce the time and hassle involved in positioning work boats in exactly the right operating area. We are also able to build temporary mooring facilities or floating work platforms using our own stock of modular floating pontoons.
Work boats licensed by the Canal and River Trust
Several of our smaller workboats have Maintenance Workboat Licenses issued by the Canal and River Trust. Talk to us about other vessels which are coded by the Port of London Authority (PLA) allowing them to operate on the tidal Thames. We also supply crews certified with the PLA Local Knowledge Endorsement giving them excellent local awareness.
Fully bunded mobile refueller
To prevent inland work boats having to travel to refuelling points or refuelling by hand in areas of pollution sensitivity, CRC have a fully bunded road legal fuel bowser. The bowser is electrically powered and fully certified; it is fitted with a 32m fuel hose.
Electric outboard option
For particularly sensitive locations, we are able to supply small work boats powered by electric engines. Not only are the engines silent with zero emissions and zero pollution risk, they have an amazing endurance and range. We are also able to supply spare batteries in a waterproof Pelle case.
