Commercial Rib Charter have spent the past 18 years developing their operations afloat and expanding their services to cater for a wider range of clients. However, in 2019 CRC have introduced themselves to a sector completely new to the team, Commercial Drone Operations.
Drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), as they are also known are becoming an increasingly popular way of carrying out aerial survey’s, photography and filming.
With this in mind, two of our staff recently undertook extensive training in order to acquire the skill set and knowledge to successfully achieve their Permission for Commercial Operations.
Over the past few years since CRC became certified, we have teamed up with other commercial drone operators and we have been part of various projects such as surveying an offshore site for a client, fleet photography and marketing. Our sister company Floating Pontoon Hire have even jumped on the band wagon to help show off a recent installation at a ferry terminal.
Providing vessel masters who are also qualified drone operators has put the minds of our clients at rest knowing the entire team onboard are as safe as can be.
In the coming years, we will be looking to use drones in a wider range of the business, so watch this space!
