Firstly, Happy New Year to you all!
It’s been all systems go here at Commercial Rib Charter and our ops team have been working their way through our entire fleet maintenance schedule. One by one, each vessel receives routine maintenance checks and planned maintenance in preparation for the season ahead but in addition to this we also like to utilise this period to give some of the vessels a little extra TLC.
Here’s a brief overview of what’s been going on in the workshop to date
Catamarans
CRC Vulcan – From mechanical to cosmetical, CRC Vulcan has received the full works this winter including engines and gearbox removal and overhaul.
CRC Sentinel – Engines fully serviced with new injectors. Additional gas cylinders added to surface supply dive spread. Sentinel has already done her first project for 2022.
CRC Gladiator – Gladiator is next in line and will also have engines and gearbox’s removed and overhauled. She will also have a complete water jet overhaul.
Cabin Ribs
CRC Voyager – No major works to be done. A cosmetic spruce up and clean ready for the year ahead
CRC Galaxy – Currently sat with engines removed awaiting new gearboxes to be fitted. Lots of work still to be done but the team are taking in their stride.
CRC Vanguard, CRC Tempest, CRC Argosy, CRC Hercules, CRC Comet are also finished and ready to go in sparkling condition.
