CRC specialise in supplying vessels to support the shore end landing during the installation of subsea cables.
CRC have assisted with numerous shore end cable landings, including the landmark Viking Link between the UK and Denmark, and have a fleet of multi-role vessels that can support all requirements during operations.
There are many factors to consider when selecting vessels to support your shore end landing, such as safety while operating near the floating cable, vessel maneuverability, shallow draft due to these operations usually taking place in shallow water near to beaches, crew experience, and having enough vessels to manage the cable during the float in.

All our vessels have a shallow draft, some as low as 0.8m, with a mix of jet propulsion and prop driven, meaning we can operate and maneuver in very shallow water to assist with things such as pulling out the winch wire, diver safety, float removal, and also crew transfers to the beach landing point, using one of our amphibious vessels.
Our larger multi-role vessels can operate as a CTV, dive vessel, survey vessel and cable management, allowing our clients to not only reduce their carbon footprint, but also reduce project costs by having fewer vessels on the project.
Our multi-role CTV/DSV, CRC Sentinel, has proved a very popular vessel for shore end landings due to her shallow draft and versatile 4-point anchoring system, CRC Sentinel is able to safely maneuver, and hold station near the pre dug trenches, allowing divers to operate in close quarters to the vessel and the cable, with her in-built survey capabilities, post lay surveys are able to be carried out as soon as trenching operations have been completed.
