The off-season gives us the perfect opportunity to give each vessel in our fleet some much needed TLC.
This winter we have yard periods lined up for two of our catamarans, CRC Gladiator and CRC Vulcan for major waterjet refurbishments and engine servicing, whilst CRC Galaxy and CRC Voyager will be undergoing mini refits following nearly 6 seasons of hard work.
The list can be endless when it comes to boat maintenance, especially the way we like to present them. The vessels will be fully serviced and made ready for what’s already looking to be a busy 2022 year.
CRC Vulcan has made the 300nm trip, returning to her home port of Lymington for the first time in 2 years. This allows us to work efficiently and maximising our time spent on her.
An example of just a few jobs on the list are: Full jet service, major engine service and reconditioning of heat exchangers, bow modifications and repairs, inventory checks and much more.
CRC Voyager is one of our priority vessels, and we ensure to keep the vessel available to mobilise within 12hrs notice. This wouldn’t be possible without our network of supplier and service agents and our in-house operations team working to a very strict schedule.
As for CRC Gladiator, currently working on a long-term contract in Great Yarmouth, a yard period has been scheduled for early January 2022. We will mobilise a replacement vessel to cover her duties during this time. Given the 10-day window we have, this will require an “all-hands to the pump” approach allowing us to carry out any annual maintenance required.
