It’s been a busy few months for most of our vessels, especially our Cable Pull support boats.
Whilst Commercial Rib Charter leave the actual cable laying process to the specialists, we are on hand and highly experienced in supporting with the many integral stages that ensure these projects come together and run efficiently.
With this in mind, we thought we would share where a few of our vessels have been operating and how they have been on hand to support with the cable laying process on some big projects.
CRC Tempest, our Dive Support Vessel is currently based in Eyemouth working alongside ABCO and Prysmian on the NNG Windfarm project providing Dive support services to the cable trenching in preparation of each phase of the cable installation.
Phase one for the cable landing happened a few weeks ago which saw CRC mobilise four additional Cable Laying Support Vessels, CRC Argosy, CRC Hercules along with two of our Open Ribs to operate 24hrs a day.
CRC Voyager and CRC Galaxy have spent the last few months based in Kings Lynn supporting Maritech and Prysmian on Viking Link, a project linking the UK and Denmark with a high voltage submarine power cable.
Galaxy has been supporting as a surface supply diving platform and Voyager was providing Crew Transfers to various vessels and jack-up barges. We also mobilised 3 of our Open Ribs to support with the cable landing.
During the laying process, CRC can provide vessels from our diverse fleet for a number of different roles. Whether it be Dive Support, Guard Boats, CTV’s, or smaller work boats to assist with the cable flotation and burial we have the perfect vessels to support and suit your project.
